Permanent wooden dancefloor High permanent stage Haze/smoke allowed No sound limiter Blinds/curtains provided Air conditioned Some useable in-house lighting effects PARKING: Only room for a van and maybe two or three cars on site. Lots of free side street parking dotted around the village though. Entertainer can remain parked outside of the front doors. ACCESS: The rear loading doors are a pain to access and only have a very narrow side path leading to them. Its easier going through the front double glass doors and directly into the hall. Stage is at the back. FACILITIES: There is a VERY high stage at the rear of the room. As it was a childrens party we chose to set up at floor level across the rear right corner in front of the stage as there were sockets nearby. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m STAFF: None present. The organiser holds the key and is responsible for clearing / locking up following the event. POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in close proximity to setup area ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "This village hall is deceivingly large. It has a smallish entrance lobby which opens up to reveal a sports centre sized main hall with a six foot high stage at the back. The hall has an adjoining kitchen (available for organisers to prepare hot / cold buffets / etc.). Parking is very limited but the hall is suitable for most community events / younger birthday parties / sports events / etc. Not licenced for alcohol sales though." |
