Permanent wooden dancefloor High permanent stage Decent house lighting rig available No sound limiter Blinds/curtains provided No air conditioning Haze/smoke prohibited PARKING: There is a free car park adjacent to the Civic Hall with parking for about 20 cars. The entertainer may park at the rear of the building next to the loading doors and remain there all gig. ACCESS: From the van, carry the gear through a double, metal mesh gateway into the courtyard / smoking area. Turn right through double, heavy metal style doors, go slightly left and up six wooden stairs onto the back of the stage. Take gear to the front of the stage to set up. FACILITIES: There is a very large, high and wide stage at the rear of the room. Can easily accommodate the largest of rigs and probably still have room for a band. Excellent set up area. STAFF: Very friendly and helpful staff here. They allowed us to load in early on the Saturday morning and leave the equipment on the stage for pickup early the following morning. Music off 23:30 with last orders around 23:10. POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "This is a general purpose, town centre venue suitable for a wide range of events. The main hall can hold around 80 - 100 guests and there is a second function room within the same building for smaller parties. Fully licensed and situated within a great local community." | |||||||
