"Although The Demi have started charging 50GBP for the room hire I thought this was worth it. Anything we needed^ from extra tables to extension cables^ they had. We went back early the next morning to tidy up only to find their staff had packed up all of our stuff and cleaned up the whole area. This was very welcome^ particulary as we were all suffering from the evening before! There were plenty of bar staff on hand and there was very little queuing all evening. Recommended!" | ||||||

However, there is a large council Pay & Display car park on the opposite side of the road which is free after 6pm and on Sundays. ACCESS: Temporarily park next to the loading doors (on the yellow lines) and get the equipment into the venue asap then move vehicle to the car park opposite. Take gear up six external steps into a hallway. Follow hall, turn left through double doors - stage is immediately right. FACILITIES: The room has a large stage standing three feet from floor level. Can accommodate a full sized rig and probably a band on the same stage. Plenty of sockets and tables. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: 3-4m STAFF: One barmaid in attendance who was helpful and friendly. POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in close proximity to setup area ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Typical Rugby Club atmosphere best suited to older occasions such as 18th / 21st Birthdays, lower end Wedding Receptions and general down to Earth functions.
