Reverse up to the main reception doors for load in then move to a nearby free side street. ACCESS: For the upstairs function room have the side loading doors opened and carry the gear along a short corridor, through a single loading door into the function room and they like you to setup diagonally across the rear right corner. FACILITIES: Go diagonally across the rear right corner. Plenty of room but if there's a band on some sharing of resources (space / mains / etc.) is required. STAFF: Staff are all spot on. Bar staff are friendly, wedding planners are great and the bouncers have an amusing sense of humour! Last orders are 01:30, music off 01:45, room clear by 02:00. POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "The upper function room can easily accommodate 150 - 200 guests and has a beautiful view of the River Tyne and Newcastle City Centre from the Northen balcony. It also has a late license till 2am so be prepared for a long stay ;)" | |||||||

Free side street parking nearby after 6pm - we used that. ACCESS: Easiest way is through the main doors at reception and carry the kit down to The Baltic Kitchen (restaurant by day / party venue at night). There are automatic doors en route which open when you approach them (very handy :) FACILITIES: Set up rig to the immediate left of the bar. You have about 4 square feet to work in but screens / etc. can be laid out in front of the bar with effects lights mounted on high up shelves if desired. Tricky at first but you soon get used to it. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: over 4m STAFF: Lots of staff working here. All are helpful, friendly, polite and happy to help with loading / setup / etc. Kept fed and watered all night. Great staff. The venue has its own Wedding Planners too :) POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Hyper stylish venue with a glass sided function room overlooking the River Tyne / Millennium Bridge / etc. Stunning views (Ill upload a pic later). Sound must not exceed 90db else all hell breaks loose !! Other than that, a superb venue best suited to Wedding Receptions, corporate events, high end occasions, etc. Power comes from behind the bar so take longish extensions. Wear a shirt and tie to work here." | |||||||
