There are ceremony / function rooms on the ground floor, and upstairs in the restaurant. This review is for the upstairs location which is smaller, but has a view over the estate. ACCESS: This is more difficult, the only way in is through the main entrance to the lift, which, at busy times is difficult to get clear use of. The stairs are not suitable for even light carrying. FACILITIES: The restaurant location is a smaller space, with a large bar / serving area and the room is an L shape. Possibly suitable for up to 60 guests, the only place to set up is furthest from the lift entrance, up a ramp, and around the corner against the far wall. Getting past tables and chairs set up near the entrance is a fiddle. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2m or less STAFF: Friendly and polite. Manager handles all announcements. POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Venue had opening windows, lovely view, but cannot blackout at all, rendering lighting useless until 10pm in summer. Not a lot of room for dancing, so dance floor area will not hold more than 30, competing with the bar guests for space. Very hot in Summer. Allow an extra 30 minutes each way for rigging." | |||||||

Staff were great. This is a restaurant that people can hire for private functions with no dedicated set up area or dancefloor; the best place to set up is at one end but only has one working plug socket nearby." | |||||||
