This review was provided by Excalibur Mobile Disco Temporary wooden dancefloor No useable in-house lighting effects No air conditioning No stage area Haze/smoke prohibited MUST ONLY USE IN-HOUSE ATTENUATED PA No effective blackout PARKING: Be careful. The park is huge and sprawling, and has multiple venues, so checking where you are going beforehand is absolutely vital. Liaise with venue staff at all times, they are brilliant. ACCESS: Atrocious. From where I parked, you go through three security gates, with a park employee at all times. There are no steps, and it is trolley friendly, albeit sloping fairly gently. It must be two hundred yards to the venue, so takes as little kit as possible, and a big trolley. If you run a Transit sized van, you can't get it any nearer, but you might just get small vehicles through. Might. FACILITIES: Not much better. The room is draped with black starlit cloths, and I was asked to set up under the lowest part, which I could touch easily. Do not take speakers, as you must use the sound ceiling, which works exactly as intended, loud on the dancefloor, and inaudible elsewhere. One 13amp socket on a cable was offered. STAFF: The staff were magnificent, best ever. Sadly the venue is a nightmare for DJs. POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Allow at least two hours for access. Make sure you know exactly where you are working, because there are multiple venues, all with different postcodes. The park is vast, and although buildings may be close on foot, it can require a ten minute car journey to get the vehicle round there. The staff are all magnificent, best I've ever met. Take your smallest rig, because although this room is big, it's a killer getting kit in and out. " | |||||||
