Date | Room | Floor | Parking | Access | Facilities | Staff | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
26/08/2016 | Function Room | First Floor via external stairs | |||||
Permanent wooden dancefloor No sound limiter Air conditioned No useable in-house lighting effects No stage area Haze/smoke prohibited No effective blackout PARKING: Parking once unloaded is via a car park at the bottom of Gibb Street, which is a 1 to 2 minute walk from the venue. This is free onec you have given your vehicle registration to reception in the adjacent Custard Factory office. ACCESS: Access is via the front entrance, up a ramp, across the reception area and into the function room. The set up area is at the far end. There is an easier way in but this would entail blocking the one way street, although the alternative is viable at the end of the evening and involves a short stairway and alley from the dance floor area to the vehicle. FACILITIES: Set up area is plentiful for a DJ and disco alone although is problematic if sharing the space with a band. The room is however split both sides of a series of arches which define the seating and dancefloor areas, so its not the ideal music venue. STAFF: Staff friendly and helpful POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Speak to security to get gates unlocked at the end of the night to retrieve vehicle as the car park is locked at 7pm. Venue is immediately to the right upon access to Gibb Street and is poorly signposted, so if you miss your drop off point be prepared to go around the one way system again which takes up another 5 minutes so its best to arrive early!" |
