No sound limiter Blinds/curtains provided Air conditioned No useable in-house lighting effects No specific dancefloor area No stage area Haze/smoke prohibited PARKING: Large car park on site plus contractors are able to drive right up to the front of the building to unload but they then need to park their vehicles in the car park ACCESS: The Garden Room has its own separate access (although it can also be accessed via the main entrance doors). There are a couple of steps up to the door, then a short corridor to go down before fire doors take you directly into the room FACILITIES: After much discussion with the staff (who wanted us to set up in one of two areas they'd suggested, neither of which were large enough) we were asked to set up in front of the fire access doors (which were not blocked as in the event of an emergency, guests could easily walk behind our equipment to get out as the venue staff moved two settees to facilitate this) The position of the disco was between two separate areas and not ideal as we were halfway between The Garden Room and The Lakeside Suit STAFF: Not very friendly - a lot of fuss was caused about where we could position the disco as they originally wanted us to go into two areas of the room which were totally unsuitable and nowhere near large enough for our equipment! POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in easy reach ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "This is a lovely venue but the organisation when we were there was lacking and the staff had not thought about how much room a disco would take up! Had the staff been willing to move tables and chairs and re-organise the way that the room was set up, we could have put the disco in a much more suitable position which would have given more space for people to dance in!" | |||||||
