"Popular city centre venue with several rooms, of which I have been in two of them as an entertainer and also a guest, both suites are at the bottom of two flights of stairs with no wheelchair access, the big suite is the night club which can be hired till 12 and then they let the public in, room 2 is called the gold room and holds about 80, and benefits from its own bar, the managers were friendly and helpful"

This review was provided by 5 Star Discos Permanent wooden dancefloor No sound limiter Blinds/curtains provided Air conditioned No useable in-house lighting effects No stage area Haze/smoke prohibited PARKING: No designated parking. There is single yellows which you can unload from and park on after 6pm. Mid week you should get a space no problem. Weekends may be trickier. ACCESS: In through the Walls street enterance, phone and they will let you in. From there you go down a set of internal stairs to the underground level. Along a short corridor and into the room. FACILITIES: Small alcove with XLRs in the wall and a booth area you can set up. Limited space to set up lighting. Maybe a T Bar behind you or some mood lights around the room is best. Not bad house system but lacking in low end so best to take a small speaker for that. STAFF: Nice and helpful. POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in easy reach ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Nice venue which is not too bad a load in for a city centre venue." | |||||||
