However they had a Halloween trail on so i had to unload from the car park. They asked if i would like to use the trolleys they had which i did as they were much bigger than mine and it only took 2 trips. Uphill on a ramp about 150 yards. but trolleys made it really easy. FACILITIES: Ample set up Area, Glass to one side, exposed brick to the other, nice big venue with high ceiling, 2 13amp sockets in the floor. although column slightly in the way. STAFF: Staff were friendly but very young, event staff very helpful. POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required | |||||||

Permanent wooden dancefloor Haze/smoke allowed No sound limiter No useable in-house lighting effects No air conditioning No stage area No effective blackout PARKING: Lots of parking and I used the coach area as it was empty late in the day, its not exactly close to the loading point but you can load from closer. ACCESS: If you have a good rock n roller cart, if you do its a 4 if you dont it can be a 2 FACILITIES: I was in the potting shed, its a lovely little room and did have enough space for dancers however on a nice night getting outside is better. STAFF: No problems with the staff just told to turn music down and move a speaker POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Its actually a first story venue but has a long winding ramp up to the staging area. The load depends on how good your cart or trolley is as its a long trek but pretty flat." | |||||||

Its split into two separate parking areas with each providing parking for around 20 cars (40 in total). ACCESS: You can temporarily park in the stone circle which leads to a foot bridge. Carry the gear from the van, over the bridge and along the Wooden Skywalk into the function room. Sounds like a chore but its actually quite easy. FACILITIES: The function room is quite small and only suitable for around 40 guests at any one time. Its best to place screens flush against the wall and put the control gear on the storage cupboard next to the bar. It means working with your back to the audience but it leaves more space for dancing. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2m or less STAFF: Cracking staff. Friendly, funny, helpful and handy to have around. Music off at 00:00 - if you dont switch it off, they do !! POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in close proximity to setup area ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Its a treehouse, made entirely from wood. Smoking on site is strictly prohibited (for obvious reasons). There is no cash machine and the bar does not do cash back (so take plenty of notes). Small function room but there is a lot of room for overspill of guests directly outside of the room itself on the walkway (which has additional seating and tables. Venue is generally quite dark due to its unique location." | |||||||
