"The Balmoral was the perfect choice for our wedding party. The location is anazing with fantastic views of Princes St and Edinburgh Castle. We booked the Annan Suite for a small family dinner. It was beautifully decorated and our afternoon was very relaxed with great service and delicious food. We had the Sir Walter Scott suite in the evening which again was beautifully decorated. The staff were amazing and made sure the whole event ran smoothly ensuring our guests had a fantastic experience." | ||||||

You have ti double park at the side enterance on the North Bridge and through your stuff in quick then move to a parking space or multi storey. You can load upto 4pm in the afternoon during the week but I dont think this applies at the weekend. nUsually difficult to get a space or you have to pay a fortune at the Omni Car Park. ACCESS: Through the external door, (Make sure you jam these because if they close you have to get a hotel member of staff to open them with a card). Along quite a long corridor. Through a double door past the kitchen (usually tight with trolleys etc.) then through a single door into the room. FACILITIES: Various areas you can set up. Usually on a temp stage along one of the long walls. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m STAFF: Great. Some of the best in the business from the waiting staff to management. POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in close proximity to setup area ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "Great venue. Pity about the parking which the City Council changed a few years ago. Not the venues fault but it makes it a bit trickier to work here. Other than that a really good venue to work at." | |||||||

The side door entrance has a security entrance so can be problematic in that you need to wait on reception to get someone to open for you. ACCESS: Along a long corridor so best to have a trolley or 2 FACILITIES: Disco set up area was fine - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 3-4m STAFF: At the end of the gig one of the managers offered to help me with my gear( or so I thought). All he wanted was to get the gear out of the hotel and didnt care that it was lying on the pavement to either be stolen or have drunk people falling over it.
