Blinds/curtains provided Temporary wooden dancefloor No useable in-house lighting effects Handheld volume monitoring No air conditioning No stage area Haze/smoke prohibited PARKING: OK ACCESS: Through two narrow doors dodging tables to dance floor area FACILITIES: Very poor small dance floor area cramped with a silly chandelier which is directly over the dance floor which was a danger to guests banging their heads on it. I set up my booth underneath this to prevent any accident and as a result took up more space on the dance floor. Ceiling is very low STAFF: The manager/Landlady was rude. She told me that they had a sound limiter and that I needed to keep the bass down. When I asked her where the visual warning lights were she said that they would tell us when it was too much bass which they continued to complain about all night long. I was not using any bass bins and my bass control was only on a quarter to and she still wanted the bass turned down. POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in easy reach ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "A very difficult venue to work and although I have put a sound limiter I think that the only sound limiter is the Landlady/Manager. We checked before arriving that we could get into venue at 5.30 pm but she kept us waiting outside until 6.30. I would recommend that any DJ thinks very carefully before accepting a booking at this venue ceiling height is about 8 feet" | |||||||
