Permanent wooden dancefloor No sound limiter No useable in-house lighting effects No air conditioning No stage area Haze/smoke prohibited No effective blackout PARKING: Parking for the function room is a nightmare. Its a quarter of a mile down a dirt track then up a large dirt embankment - nearly burnt out the clutch on my van last time I attempted this. ACCESS: Walk across a field to the rear of the venue and then in through a permanent marquee to the restaurant. A long haul and on a wet day its an absolute nightmare! FACILITIES: Youre asked to set up in one corner of the room. Which corner you dont actually know until you get there. STAFF: Staff tolerate the entertainers but are not particularly friendly. Lots of foreign-speaking staff with limited grasp of English. Ask for anything out of the ordinary and youre in trouble. POWER PROVISION: You will need plenty of long extensions if you need more than a single 13A ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "All room lighting controlled from inside the kitchen area on dimmers which dont work properly. Therefore youre reliant on communicating your requirements successfully to the non-English-speaking staff if youre to co-ordinate house and disco lighting during first dances for instance :(" | |||||||
