ACCESS: The Marquee at Perrygrove is permanently located at 'Rookwood Station' which is a train ride away! In inclement weather, access is on a train; they've got a goods wagon which you load all equipment into and the train takes you up to Rookwood. In dry weather, the marquee can be accessed by driving across two large fields. There's a slope up to the marquee which does make unloading/loading tricky but there is coir matting down all round the outside of the marquee. FACILITIES: Area in marquee set aside for DJ booth with small dance floor in front. STAFF: The family that run the visitor attraction are lovely people and couldn't be more helpful. POWER PROVISION: Short extensions (up to 5m) required | |||||||

ACCESS: Bit of a trek ........ Parked as near to 'visitor entrance' as we could. Have to go via entrance and through customer cafe to gain access to the railway platform and carriage shed. FACILITIES: This function was in the 'carriage shed' which is literally that - a large shed that the narrow gauge steam and diesel trains & carriages are stored in overnight and there are three lines of rails throughout the length of the building so that did make positioning equipment a bit tricky as we needed to avoid the rails. Set up at furthest end of room away from carriage shed doors against the back wall. STAFF: The family that run the visitor attraction are lovely people and couldn't be more helpful. POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in easy reach ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "This is a venue that has only recently started hosting wedding receptions ~ it's a great place and very child friendly with train rides for the happy couple and their guests included!! There are two separate reception locations on the site - 'The Carriage Shed' which is located alongside the main station platform and 'Rookwood' which is accessed from the middle train stop on the line. This is a large field where a marquee can be sited. All equipment has to be taken to the marquee site on the train (although they do have open top carriages specifically for this purpose!)" | |||||||
