Permanent wooden dancefloor No sound limiter Blinds/curtains provided No useable in-house lighting effects No air conditioning No stage area Haze/smoke prohibited PARKING: There is no parking at this venue at all. Even the street outside is double yellowed. Bump up onto the pavement, hazards on, flyer in the window so they know who you are and get the gear to the ground floor lift then move the van. Then find a car park. ACCESS: Get the gear into the lift and send it up to the first floor (takes a while). Meet the lift then carry the kit up a small flight of stairs into the supper room. Set up along the rear wall. FACILITIES: Very small setup area. Try to do it with lasers and effects lights only. STAFF: The bar is downstairs. We didn't really have a lot to do with any staff. The organiser cleared / locked up. Music MUST be off by midnight. POWER PROVISION: Plenty of 13A sockets in easy reach ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: "This is a difficult venue to work with. It's situated in the middle of Appleby's front street so parking / loading is certainly a challenge. All of the nearby car parks are disc controlled until 18:00 then are free. Go prepared to this one and be ready for a taxing load in." | |||||||
