DJ Reviews of East Thirsk Village (Community) Hall
The following information will be useful to DJs, entertainers and other service providers who have been hired to work at East Thirsk Village (Community) Hall.
This review provided by a former site member.
Main Hall is located on the Ground floor.
Parking: Access: Facilities: No sound limiter
Vinyl or stone floor area for dancing
No useable in-house effects
No stage area
PARKING: Very small car park to the front of the hall with parking for around 10 cars. There is no dedicated entertainer space so get there early and park outside of the front doors.
ACCESS: Through the double glass front doors take the gear along a small reception area into the main hall. Setup is best in one of the corners as there are sockets in all four.
STAFF: There is a caretaker who opens the hall up for entry then goes. She returns at the end to assist with the tidy up and then locks up. Friendly enough and sorted us a table out.
COMMENTS: Modern looking, newish community centre in the middle of a housing estate. Non-licenced so best suited to local community events, children's parties, etc. Great hall suitable for around 100 guests. Tables and chairs can be laid out upon request.
